Emergent is, at its core, about friendships. We are naming the cohort which began in the fall Emmaus Road. On Emmaus Road two people walked together, discussing the life and teachings of Jesus and struggling to make sense of it all. On that journey they were met by Jesus. We hope “Emmaus Road” can be a place where a diverse group of people, leaders and seekers can encourage and teach one another as we are learning to follow Jesus in our complex and changing context in the Bay Area, With EMMAUS ROAD we are not trying to corner the market on emergent cohorts, but simply want to offer one of many opportunities to connect. We encourage anyone who has the desire to start an Emergent Cohort of their own.
We will coordinate gatherings for dinner and discussion 6:30-9:30 PM. These evenings will begin with a pot luck dinner followed by discussions on several topics. If you would like attend and/or to facilitate a discussion, please contact us prior to the evening. (nate@reimagine.org)
